As promised by producer Chris Miller, Sony has dropped a new trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. While we've known for a while now that the upcoming animated film will feature different variations of the iconic web-slinger, today's trailer finally gives us a glimpse at the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse.

We finally get a proper understanding of how Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) meets Peter Parker (Jake Johnson), and how the two of them meet Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld). We also get our first look at Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man Noir as well as John Mulaney's Spider-Ham. More importantly, we finally get some context for how all of these different universes are connected.

In addition to the new trailer, we also have a poster for the upcoming movie. All of this arrives just ahead of New York Comic-Con where a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse panel will be held on Saturday, October 5, at 11:30 a.m. in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swings into theaters December 14.
