Three days ago, Disney debuted the very first trailer for their upcoming, live-action remake of Mulan. The trailer served as our first look at the new version of the 1998 animated classic and has quickly become one of the most-viewed trailers of all-time.

According to a recent report by Deadline, the first trailer for Mulan has been viewed more than 175 million times within the first 24 hours of it being published online. The is the second highest amount of views that a live-action film from Walt Disney Studios has earned. It's second only to the trailer for the upcoming remake of The Lion King - which earned 224 million views in just a day's time.

But the trailer isn't only successful when compared to its Walt Disney Studios brethren. The trailer for Mulan is now the seventh most successful trailer of all-time, coming in behind Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, The Lion King, It, and The Fate of the Furious.

It's said that 52 million of those views came from China. This is particularly surprising given that the country weren't fans of the original Mulan, despite it being set there and featuring a Chinese protagonist. It's said that China are warmly embracing the upcoming remake, hailing Yifeu Liu as their first Disney princess.

Mulan is the epic adventure of a fearless young woman who masquerades as a man in order to fight Northern Invaders attacking China. The eldest daughter of an honored warrior, Hua Mulan is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. When the Emperor issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army, she steps in to take the place of her ailing father as Hua Jun, becoming one of China’s greatest warriors ever.

Mulan will arrive in theatres on March 27th, 2020.
