Who knew that in order to save Krypton from ultimate destruction all the Kryptonians needed was a sick beat? Can you imagine? The entire DC Universe would have been drastically altered, which is exactly what will happen in the upcoming animated movie Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.

In the newest exclusive clip from Entertainment Weekly, we are treated to just a small taste of the wild antics we can expect when the Titans head to the big screen later this week. Reasoning that Hollywood would be forced to make movies about them if no other superheroes existed, the group travels back in time in an attempt to stop the superhero origin stories from happening. In this clip, they travel to Krypton in an attempt to prevent the destruction of the planet which, in turn, would mean Superman never arrives on Earth.

Given the synopsis of the film, which teases that the Titans will be "radically misdirected by a serious supervillain and his maniacal plan to take over Earth," it's easy to see how this one will unfold. If the Titans successfully prevent the superhero origin stories, no one will be left to stop the villain, except for them. Do they have what it takes to be real superheroes? We'll find out soon enough when Teen Titans Go! To the Movies hits theaters July 27.

As for the track in the above clip, it's called "Crystals" and was written by storyboard artist David Gemmill and M A E S T R O. The movie will feature several full-length original songs, including “Go!,” which is a hip-hop track that introduces the Teen Titans, and “Upbeat Inspirational Song,” which features Michael Bolton. The soundtrack to Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is available for purchase already.
