GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN Trailer Brings To Life Halloween's Most Feared Creatures - And Gummy Bears

Halloween has come to life in the first trailer for Sony's Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. A sequel to 2015's poorly-received horror-comedy based on R.L. Stine's series of fiction novels geared towards children, Haunted Halloween seems to follow a similar premise as its predecessor. As the trailer reveals, two boys stumble upon a book in an abandoned, old house. The book, titled Haunted Halloween, brings about the return of Slappy along with dozens of other iconic Halloween creatures.

There are even a few surprise monsters - like gummy bears. Who knew those deliciously squishy, gummy treats could be so terrifying?

With over 62 books in R.L. Stine's series of horror fiction novels, there's certainly plenty of source material for Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween to find inspiration from. While the original film received fairly positive reviews, it only grossed around $150 million at the worldwide box office. With no Jack Black in sight in the first trailer for  Haunted Halloween, can the sequel put up similar - or better - box office numbers?

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween opens in theaters October 12.
