Frozen debuted in theatres back in 2013 and starred Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad. The animated film was extremely well-received and currently sits at 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Yesterday, Frozen 2 arrived in theatres. The aforementioned quartet of actors are back as Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf respectively.

Currently, the Disney sequel has a 76% Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes and recently earned the "Fresh" certification. If you're unfamiliar with Rotten Tomatoes, it's a review-aggregator site which compiles a plethora of official reviews from across the web and calculates a percentage based on how many are positive and how many are negative.

If a film earns higher than a 75% rating on the Tomatometer and over 80 reviews have been tallied, it's considered "Certified Fresh." Frozen 2 just about manages to cross this boundary with its 76% rating and 193 reviews taken into account. On the "Audience Score" side of things, Frozen 2 sits at an impressive 95% with over 1,300 reviews taken into account.

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.

Frozen 2 is in theatres now.
