As you're no doubt well aware, Warner Bros. is moving forward with a live-action/animated Tom & Jerry movie featuring real actors alongside the iconic cartoon enemies. Whether they'll look photorealistic or like their cartoon selves has been something of a mystery up until now but this newly surfaced piece of concept art may shed some light on that.

As you can see, it features Tom and Jerry alongside Jennifer Lawrence and while that doesn't mean she'll star in the movie (as is pointed out below), it does confirm that Tim Story (Fantastic Four) is looking for a female lead and the cat and mouse will look like their classic selves rather than along the lines of that freakish version of Sonic which has been doing the rounds lately.

A release date hasn't been set and we've heard nothing about an actual cast being assembled for the movie so it's clearly still early days for Tom & Jerry but this artwork is definitely a good start.

Live-action/animated hybrids have something of a spotty track record (just look at Garfield or Alvin & The Chipmunks) but Tom & Jerry has potential and it will be interesting seeing how it comes together from here. What do you guys think of this first look?
