RJ Palmer, a concept artist who worked on
Detective Pikachu recently shared some of pieces on Twitter (
@arvalis). These cool, new images show off what appears to be an early version of the
Pokemon fight club which featured in the film.
The first piece features Charizard chasing after Tim Goodman and Detective Pikachu amid a bunch of other
Pokemon creatures. The second piece of concept art was posted soon afterwards and again focuses on Charizard. In this one the iconic, orange dragon creature is taking on Gyarados.
Palmer posted a follow-up tweet which references the first, revealing some hidden details that you might not have noticed upon a quick glance. As you can see below, the pieces feature Zubat and Garbador, two Pokemon creatures which didn't actually appear in the final cut of the film at all.
