It is only one day into the month and Disney+ has already made several additions to their streaming service catalogue. We already reported the films which were added yesterday, and those include the likes of
Around the World in 80 Days, The Sandlot, and
Big Business.
On the television side of things, there is only one new series that has been added to Disney's streaming service this weekend, and that is National Geographic's
Wicked Tuna. Both
Season 1 and 2 of the reality sports fishing series were added yesterday and are now available to binge.
As this is a National Geographic series, it is easy to overlook. Steamers on the service are quickly drawn to the big titles from
Star Wars, Disney, Pixar, and
Marvel and compared to those massive IP's, National Geographic can't help but feel like the odd one out.
Users may want to give
Wicked Tuna a chance, however, as the service won't be adding another series until February 7th, when we will see
Disney Family Sundays, Diary of a Future President, and
Marvel's Hero Project - all of which feature new episodes every Sunday.
Check out the trailer for Disney and National Geographic's
Wicked Tuna and let us know if you'll be checking out
Seasons 1 and 2 on Disney+ this month! Also, stay tuned for more updates on the ever-changing slate of Disney+ movies and shows!
Wicked Tuna follows a group of salty fishermen from the nation's oldest seaport, Gloucester, Massachusetts, as they make their living the way it's been done for centuries—rod and reel fishing, one catch at a time—all in pursuit of the bluefin tuna. One "monstah" bluefin can be worth more than $20,000, and with that kind of money on the line, every captain is fighting to be the best in the fleet.
Wicked Tuna Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Disney+.
