Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have been spoiled during 2021, with four projects already released on Disney+. While WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, and Black Widow started off the year spectacularly, this year still holds Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Hawkeye, Eternals, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and perhaps most interestingly, What If...?
Marvel's What If...? is one of the most ambitious projects headed to the streamer this year. Not only is it the first animated series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it includes dozens of actual voices from the wider MCU reprising their characters, and these versions will have a lasting effect on the MCU, according to Tom Hiddleston.
Along with well known MCU actors like the late Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and the ever-popular Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Michael B. Jordan (Killmonger), Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Dugan), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), and countless others, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's Sebastian Stan will also be heard in next month's animated series.
Although fans have expressed disappointment about the lack of Robert Downey Jr., Brie Larson, and a few others absent from the voice cast, Sebastian Stan has now made it clear that he will be present. The actor took to Instagram to share some hilarious outtakes from his performance in What If...?, and we definitely recommend watching it for yourself.
It's obvious that Stan is having a lot of fun in the booth, and we can only imagine what kind of dialogue we will hear from him in the series, but this bodes well for the fun and excitement of Marvel's first MCU canon cartoon.
