WHAT IF...?: Marvel Studios Newest Featurette For Next Week's Premiere Focuses On The Watcher's Point Of View

There are countless reasons to be excited for What If...?. First, the series is groundbreaking as the first animated project from Marvel Studios, and everything that takes place in the show has been confirmed to be canon in the MCU and affect things in the future.

If that isn't enough to wet your whistle, the show also includes the voices of over fifty actors reprising their Marvel Cinematic Universe. The likes of which include Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Michael B. Jordan, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Evangeline Lily, Sebastian Stan, Andy Serkis, Stanley Tucci, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Kurt Russell, Benicio Del Toro, Jeff Goldblum, Don Cheadle, Jaimie Alexander, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Sullivan, Sean Gunn, Neal McDonough, Hayley Atwell, Clancy Brown, Kat Dennings, Taika Waititi, Jeremy Renner, David Dastmalchian, and if we name any others we're going to run out of room.

Oh, and did we mention Chadwick Boseman? That's right, as his final performance, Boseman recorded lines for four episodes of What If...?. This will allow fans to experience T'challa one last time and to connect with the late actor. Seeing T'Challa as Star-Lord alongside Michael Rooker's Yondu should be sure to evoke both laughs and tears.

A new featurette for the series has been released just a week ahead of the show's premiere on Disney+. It is narrated by Jeffrey Wright's Watcher, much like the show itself. Take a look and listen for yourself below.

Wright certainly evokes the mysticism and wonder of The Watcher, and it will be exciting to hear him explain the intricacies of the multiverse in a way that hopefully evokes Neil Degrasse Tyson's own genius.

But what do you guys think? Will you be tuning in next Wednesday, or is animation not your forte? Regardless, be sure to share your thoughts in the usual spot, and let us know which What If...? variant character you're most excited to see!

Enter the multiverse of unlimited possibilities. Marvel Studios' first animated series, What If...?, starts streaming August 11 with new episodes Wednesdays on Disney+. “What If… ?” features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more. The new series, directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer, features signature MCU action with a curious twist.

Disney+ will begin streaming the first three episodes of Marvel's What If...? on Wednesday, August 11th.
