The most ambitious and confusing Marvel Studios project is almost here. However, hardcore fans and casual viewers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are still scratching their heads at what to expect just two days before the enigma of a series premieres.
What If...? is the first animated series to take place in the pervasive Marvel Cinematic Universe. More than four dozen actors reprise their characters for the series to cement fans' interest in the show, with even the late Chadwick Boseman recording dialogue for multiple episodes before his passing.
We have two brand new character posters to "marvel" at and examine ahead of the premiere. The first features the Hydra Stomper armor, which is piloted by a version of Steve Rogers, who never received the super-soldier serum.
The second character poster explains why Steve didn't get the serum, as it is clear that Peggy Carter has been chosen to be the hero instead. Although, instead of Captain America, it looks that Captain Carter will be donning more of a Captain Britain persona, with Iron Cap (Hydra Stomper) backing her up.
This morning, both posters were shared via the Marvel Entertainment Twitter account to help drive more interest in the series and keep it at the forefront of fans' minds. See the announcement tweet for yourself below.
What do you guys think of these posters, and will you be tuning in on Wednesday? Regardless, be sure to share your thoughts in the usual spot, and let us know which What If...? variant character you're most excited to see!
