Raya and the Last Dragon is written by Adele Lim (Crazy Rich Asians) and Qui Nguyen, directed by Don Hall (Big Hero 6) and Carlos López Estrada (Blindspotting), and stars Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians).
It's the next animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios and follows a warrior named Raya as she hunts throughout the mysterious realm of Kumandra for the last dragon — before an evil force known as the Drunn can put an end to them all. Tran serves as the voice of the titular heroine while Awkwafina plays the titular dragon's human form, Sisu.
Just yesterday, Walt Disney Animation Studios shared the first official poster for Raya and the Last Dragon — which you can check out here — and now they've dropped the full first official trailer. Coming off the back of Frozen 2, it seems Raya and the Last Dragon will be the most stunning and therefore technologically impressive film from Walt Disney Animation Studios thus far.
