A couple of days ago, the penultimate episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season, as well as the animated series as a whole, debuted on Disney+ — more on that here. Unlike every other episode in the seventh season, the twelfth and final one won't be released on a Friday but rather tomorrow on Monday, May 4th (Star Wars Day).
Being the epic conclusion, it's certainly highly anticipated but an officially licensed piece of merchandise may have inadvertently revealed yet another reason to be excited for Episode 12 "Victory and Death." You see, a listing recently surfaced on Box Lunch for a jersey tank top based on Darth Vader's iconic suit of armour.
Specifically, this piece of merchandise is called "Our Universe Star Wars: The Clone Wars Darth Vader Jersey Tank Top," which is incriminating enough already but the scales are tipped even further by the product's description.
"Show your true allegiance to the dark side of the Force in this athletic jersey tank! Darth Vader makes a statement in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, just like this tank will in your closet. Features graphics inspired by his armor on the front and "VADER" text above "77" on the back, signifying the year the Sith Lord made his first appearance in A New Hope."
It seems pretty blatant that this description is referring to a moment from the animated series itself. Of course, we haven't witnessed this moment ourselves yet and there's only one episode left in Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season so that would have to be the one in which it takes place. Though, this merch could simply be taking some creative liberties.
