We're not halfway through the final arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Episode 9 "Old Friends Not Forgotten" kicked off the "Siege of Mandalore" arc, Episode 10 "The Phantom Apprentice" continued it — find out more on the latter here. Now we're coming to Episode 11 "Shattered." This episode is set to debut on Friday, May 1st on Disney+.
As they've done prior to the release of every episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season, Disney and Lucasfilm have released an official clip online. This clip, in particular, isn't too long nor does it reveal all too much. We're shown Ahsoka and Captain Rex aboard and on the bridge of a Venator ship.
The music is quite sci-fi. It's frankly unlike any other music in the franchise, being reminiscent of what you would hear in an official trailer for something. However, it's also quite ominous given what we know is right around the corner — Order 66 A.K.A. the Jedi Purge.
In fact, the traumatising event is even mentioned outright in a new official synopsis for the upcoming episode — as you can see below along with the new clip (via Star Wars):
After successfully capturing Maul on Mandalore, Ahsoka plans to deliver him to the Jedi Council on Coruscant. When Order 66 is declared in the midst of her journey, her world is turned upside down. Friends become foes, and enemies become allies in “Shattered” this Friday, May 1 st , followed by the heart-pounding series finale “Victory and Death” on Monday May 4 th on Disney+.
