Dave Filoni served as supervising director and executive producer of Star Wars: The Clone Wars since the very beginning. He's largely responsible for the animated series as a whole, having served as director, writer, producer, and more. He went on to create Star Wars Rebels and was involved with both Star Wars Resistance and The Mandalorian.
Well, Filoni sometimes shares pieces of art following the release of episodes and it's none more timely than after the finale. Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season as well as the animated series as a whole came to an end on May 4th (earlier this week). If you haven't got around to checking out the finale yet, I wouldn't recommend you read any further.
Filoni shared a piece based on one of the series' final moments. Episode 12 "Victory and Death" saw Ahsoka and Rex narrowly avoid being aboard a Venator ship as it plummeted into the surface of a moon. After providing the unfortunate Clone Troopers who didn't make it off the ship with a proper burial, Ahsoka ditches her lightsaber and departs with Rex.
It's this moment that Filoni has masterfully recreated on paper. What's more, he expressed his gratitude; at the bottom it says "Thank you." Check it out below (via @Dave_Filoni):
