At long last,
Star Wars: The Clone Wars finally returned on February 21st with the first episode of the long-awaited seventh and final season. The first of the final season's twelve episodes sees Captain Rex and the Bad Batch infiltrate an enemy base on Anaxes.
The Bad Batch are not only the namesake for the episode but also an experimental squad of Clone Troopers who feature desirable mutations and are officially titled Clone Force 99. They're the main focus of the first episode and will be returning in the upcoming second one —

Following the release of new
Star Wars Rebels episodes,
the official Star Wars YouTube channel would debut instalments in a behind-the-scenes series called Rebels Recon. They're doing something similar with
Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season.
A new behind-the-scenes video has been released titled "Clone Wars Download: The Bad Batch," and sees the likes of Dave Filoni, Sam Witwer, James Arnold Taylor, and more discuss the episode at hand. While there's some insightful tidbits enclosed, this particular episode mostly consists of the cast and crew fawning over the fact that
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is indeed back.
