At long last,
Star Wars: The Clone Wars has returned. The animated series originally debuted back in 2008 but was cancelled before its time in 2014.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes place between
Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones and
Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. It chronicles the many battles fought by Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more.
Back in 2018, it was announced that
Star Wars: The Clone Wars would be retuning for one final season on Disney's new streaming service. Now in 2020, the long-awaited seventh season has arrived — or rather the first episode of the seventh season is, at least. Episodes will be released on a weekly basis from here on out — until the twelve and final episode debuts on May 8th, 2020.
The first episode of
Star Wars: The Clone Wars — The Final Season is titled "The Bad Batch" and revolves around its namesake — that being a group of elite Clone Troopers who each feature desirable genetic mutations. Disney and Lucasfilm has really been hyping up Clone Force 99 in the lead up to the final season's release.
Earlier this week, a clip from the first episode was released. This clip features Commander Cody, Captain Rex, Arc Trooper Jesse, and introduces the Bad Batch.
