In addition to the continuous stream of Marvel properties like WandaVision, Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and What If...?, Disney has also been ramping up the Star Wars spin-offs for their streamer as well.
Following the incredible success of The Mandalorian's first two seasons, countless projects have been announced to be in the works that will take place in the galaxy far, far away. These include live-action series like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, Rangers of the New Republic, Lando, The Acolyte, and Andor.
Animation is also a big part of this burgeoning universe with Star Wars: Visions, an animated anthology series of films from different studios and Japanese creators in the works. In addition, A Droid Story, which focuses on C-3PO and R2-D2 is also in development.
Both of these shows will be joining the already-streaming animation Star Wars: The Bad Batch which is gearing up to air its two-part season finale. Ahead of the culmination of Season 1, the announcement has officially been made via Twitter that a second season is not only in the works but will begin streaming in 2022.
What do you guys think of this development? Are you excited for what's to come, or are you more focused on the two-part season one finale before getting ahead of yourself? Regardless of your thoughts, be sure to sound off in the usual spot!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 will begin streaming on Disney+ in 2022.
