Disney has been on a roll releasing successful live action adaptations of their classic films. Recent releases include
The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent 2, and more. They now turn their attention to the adaptation releasing next month,
Mulan.
The live action film takes some inspiration from the animated movie which starred Ming Na-Wen
(Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Mandalorian) in the titular role but it is a much more serious take on the story of Hua Mulan than the cartoon was. Many of the main aspects from the movie have been dulled or removed entiely such as the music - though the original songs can be heard in the score.
Tickets for this film officially go on sale tomorrow and it sees a U.S. theatrical release on March 27th, 2020. In celebration of tickets going on sale Disney has launched a new featurette
for
Mulan showcasing the thrilling stunts from the upcoming film. Check it out below!
