The Disney100 Celebration is still going strong as we hit the midway point of 2023. The Disney100 Celebration is a year-long anniversary celebration that honors the centennial anniversary of the date brothers Walt and Roy Disney founded the company in 1923.
We recently covered the special Rogers: The Musical coming to Disney California Adventure Park for a limited run but the fun doesn't stop there. Today, Disney announced that eight classic films will also be returning to theaters as part of the celebration.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (July 7th–20th)
- Toy Story (July 21st–August 3rd)
- Frozen (August 4th–17th)
- Beauty and the Beast (August 18th–31st)
- The Incredibles (September 1st–14th)
- Coco (September 15th–28th)
- The Lion King (September 29th–October 12th)
- Moana (October 13th–26th)
Tickets for all eight films are currently available for purchase via Fandango.
Shortly after the eighth and final classic leaves theaters, Disney Animation's newest feature, Wish will arrive in cinemas on November 22. Hopefully, it fares better than last year's Strange World, which was dead on arrival and grossed a mere $73.6M at the worldwide box office. It was estimated that the studio lost $100-$197M from the flop.
