Earlier in the month, we detailed what we should expect in December on Disney Plus with a more quality-focus rather than quanity. But, with the reveal of Fa-La-La-Lidays and Magical Holidays, we have more to expect if you're an animation fiend. Much of the new stuff are holiday specials, but sprinkled in are non-holiday-themed fare.
Beyond Dream Productions and the return of Marvel's What If, we have Mickey and the Very Many Christmases, which follows Mickey as he wishes everyday is Christmas, only to regret it after it actually comes true.
We also get new episodes of Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends, both holiday episodes, with one honing in on the Christmas spirit while the other focuses on Hanukkah. A Snow Day For Aunt May sees the Spidey crew heading to the North Pole to get help from Santa Claus to make it snow for Christmas for Aunt May. In Hanukkah Heist, Aunt Petunia is in crisis and it's up to Spider-Man and The Thing to save her stolen latkes.
New Bluey Minisodes are set to air early in the month, not too much to say on the matter. Basicaly everyone already knows what Bluey is; the Australian international sensation on-par with the likes of Peppa Pig. In terms of how much new Bluey we get -- it's six minisodes.
New episodes of Mickey Mouse Funhouse are also heading to the streaming service on the same day as Dream Productions. Similarly to Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends, the new episodes will tackle Christmas -- with a Latin twist -- and Hanukkah celebrations. Nochebuena at the Funhouse sees Goofy educated in the Latin tradtion of Nochebuena by Panchito and Jose. Hanukkah at Hilda’s, meanwhile, sees the crew caught in a snowstorm and learning Hilda's Hanukkah traditions.
Disney Channel hit, Big City Greens, gets a new holiday-themed episode with Dream Tree, which Bill and Cricket searching for the perfect Christmas tree. Meanwhile, its B-episode, Blue Greens, follows Cricket cheering Tilly up after she becomes sad.
ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series is also getting a holiday episode with Santler Claws is Comin’ to Town. In it the cast have their own personal goals to make the best Christmas ever.
SuperKitties is getting new holiday episodes relating to -- you guessed it -- Christmas and Hanukkah. In Runaway Sleigh, it's up to the SuperKitties to stop Mr. Puppypaws after he steals Santa's sleigh. Meanwhile in Hanukkah Rescue, the feline crew learn about Hanukkah and light a menorah with their friends.
Playdate with Winnie the Pooh gets Christmas episodes, both revolving around Pooh and Piglet, with Piglet’s Christmas Tree seeing the duo searching for the perfect Christmas tree. Meanwhile, Piglet’s Christmas Present have the two meeting up Christmas morn to exchange gifts.
Me & Winnie the Pooh gets a Christmas episode with the aptly named Kanga Makes Christmas Ornaments, which sees Kanga making Christmas ornaments for her friends.
We assume this is largely the extent of the month unless Disney has another trick up their sleeve, but it's getting a little sudden to introduce new content for December, especially with it now jam-packed with Christmas and Hanukkah spirit.
