Disney has once again reshuffled the release dates for its movie lineup. Among the changes include a delay for the upcoming family film Ron's Gone Wrong and completely removing the date for the Bob's Burgers movie. Both movies were in production under the company's 20th Century Studios and Searchlight banner.
Ron's Gone Wrong has moved from April 23 to October 22. The Bob's Burgers movie, which is based on the popular animated TV series, was originally set for April 9, but has now been taken off the release calendar completely. A bunch of Disney's other live-action movies, including The King's Man, have also been pushed back -- all a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Ron's Gone Wrong is a computer-animated science fiction film set in a future where walking, talking, digitally connected robots have become children's best friends. The movie follows an 11-year-old boy who discovers this his robot buddy doesn't quite work.
The Bob's Burger movie, of course, follows the beloved Belcher animated TV family -- Bob, Linda, Tina, Gene, and Louise -- as they run their hamburger restaurant. The plot hasn't been quite fleshed out, but series creator Loren Bouchard previously said the film will "scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had" while also appealing to new audiences.
