As promised, the trailer for Disney's Pinocchio debuted today on Good Morning America and for those who couldn't tune in, it was shared shortly after online for all to enjoy. Although it's just a teaser, the nearly two-minute trailer provides a promising glimpse of the magic viewers will experience when this live-action adaptation of the timeless classic arrives on Disney+ later this year.

The trailer begins with Geppetto, who feels perfectly cast with Tom Hanks in the role, making a wish upon a star with glimpses of him working on the wooden puppet, Pinocchio. We then see the magical Blue Fairy, played by Cynthia Erivo, fly into the house. Cue the classic song "When You Wish Upon A Star."

From there, the magic begins and we get a brief montage of some of the adventure that awaits. And finally, we get a release date! Disney's Pinocchio will arrive on Disney+ on September 8.

Disney's Pinocchio features a star-studded cast that includes Tom Hanks as Geppetto, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the voice of Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Keegan-Michael Key as "Honest John Worthington Foulfellow, and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the voice of Pinocchio. The film is helmed by award-winning director Robert Zemeckis (Forest Gump, Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit).
