With just a few days to go until the global release of Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn, Best Buy has announced its plans to sell the latest chapter of the collectible trading card game. Rise of the Floodborn is set to release on December 1, 2023, which is when Best Buy expects it to become available in its stores.
However, the retailer notes that arrival dates will vary by store and only "select participating Best Buy Stores" will be offering "limited quantities" of Rise of the Flodoborn starter decks, booster packs, deck boxes, and even the D100 Special Gift Set.
In order to ensure as many people as possible can get supply, Best Buy will be limiting the quantities you can buy to a maximum of two of each item. You'll be allowed to purchase up to 20 Booster Packs.
Although some retailers are selling Disney Lorcana items online, Best Buy will limit the sale to in-store only with no curbside or store pickup available.
The Best Buy website lists all of the items that should be available in-store starting December 1, 2023:

- Rise of the Floodborn Deck Box - Sisu or Mulan ($5.99)
- Rise of the Floodborn Card Sleeve - Sisu or Mulan ($9.99)
- Rise of the Floodborn Booster Packs ($5.99)
- Rise of the Floodborn Neoprene Mat - Winnie-the-Pooh or Beast ($9.99)
- Rise of the Floodborn D100 Special Gift Set ($49.99)
In addition to all of the new Rise of the Floodborn product, select Best Buy stores will also have booster packs available for The First Chapter (Disney Lorcana's first set of cards).
Since releasing earlier this year, Disney Lorcana has become one of the most popular trading card games, rivaling the likes of Pokemon and Magic The Gathering. Unfortunately, this demand coupled with limited supply has prevented many from being able to purchase the game.
Ravensburger had ordered a reprint of The First Chapter products and while the restock has been hitting store shelves these past few weeks, it has still been incredibly hard to find cards. It's believed that December 1st will finally see an ample supply of both The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn at major retailers, like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Amazon, etc.
While Best Buy has limited purchases to in-store, others like Target and Amazon have slowly started taking pre-orders online. Ravensburger, the game's creator, recently attempted a pre-sale event, which turned into a disaster following a DDoS attack. The company has since announced it will no longer sell Disney Lorcana on its website.
In the meantime, you may be able to find Disney Lorcana cards at your local game store. Rise of the Floodborn was pre-released earlier this month, but only available at small mom-and-pop game stores.
