Now that
The Simpsons are officially a part of the House of Mouse (thanks to Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox), the iconic family will be making their way from their couch in Springfield to the spotlight of the D23 Expo Arena in Anaheim this August.
The longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, this will be
The Simpsons first time at D23 Expo since they are new to the Disney family.
A panel will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 10:00 a.m. and will feature new details about the upcoming season as well as "lots of surprises," including an exclusive Simpsons collectible for everyone in attendance. Series Creator Matt Groening, Matt Groening, Executive Producer Al Jean, Executive Producer Matt Selman, Supervising Director Mike B. Anderson, and stars Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith will all be in attendance.
In addition to the panel, fans will be able to meet Bart, Lisa, and the rest of The Simpsons family on the show floor. Matt Groening and the rest of the panelists will also be hosting a one-hour autograph session.
In April it was confirmed that
Seasons 1-30 of The Simpsons will be made available for streaming on Disney+ when it launches this November.
It was also recently announced that Walt Disney Animation Studios'
Frozen 2 as well as Pixar's
Onward and
Soul will all be featured at D23.
