Over a year ago, we got our first look at Disney's upcoming The Owl House animated series — in the form of official stills. Now, Disney Channel has released an exciting sneak peek at the horror-comedy series. This clip debuted during New York Comic-Con and shows off the awesome visuals as well as properly introduces us to the show's main characters.

Luz is a self-assured girl who has found herself among the world of myths and legends. Thankfully, Eda is around to teach her and help her find her way back home. The latter witch's roomate is a adorable warrior by the name of King.

Luz's voice is provided by Sarah-Nicole Robles, Eda is voiced by Wendie Malick, and Alex Hirsch voices King — the latter of those is best known for creating and starring in Gravity FallsThe Owl House is created by Dana Terrace who formerly served as a story artist for Gravity Falls and a director for DuckTales. The series is set to premiere on Disney Channel in January 2020.

Luz, a self-assured teenage human girl, accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical new world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting.
