Following the announcement that Rugrats will be returning this month to Paramount+, Nickelodeon has released the first full trailer for the upcoming reboot. Although the lovable gang of babies are now in CG form, their personalities are just the way you'll remember. And a big part of that is because the original cast is returning to voice their respective characters.
The trailer teases "big action, big imagination, and the biggest adventures" as we get sneak peeks at some of the upcoming hijinks that await. From the magical cave of fun stuff to a giant dog monster, it looks like the babies' imaginations will be running wild. It's actually surprising, and much-welcomed, how reminiscent the reboot is to the original series.
Streaming May 27th, only on Paramount+, a reimagining of the classic '90s hit, the brand-new series features rich and colorful CG-animation and follows Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie and Angelica as they explore the world and beyond from their pint-sized and wildly imaginative point-of-view.
Nickelodeon's Rugrats will debut exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming service on May 27. It will kick off with a one-hour premiere, titled "Second Time Around," which sees Tommy Pickles lead the babies on a daring adventure to help Chuckie after his big attempt to be brave goes wrong. There's mention that "dinosaurs are involved," suggesting Reptar -- the fictional green dinosaur -- will be making an appearance.
Season 1 of Rugrats will be split into two halves. The first set of episodes are debuting on May 27, with the second batch dropping later this year.
