DC Universe's
Harley Quinn animated series debuted back in November and recently concluded. However, the irreverent cartoon will be back in action as soon as April 3rd with a second season. This was announced a couple of days ago and
you can find out more about that by clicking here.
Harley Quinn stars Kaley Cuoco as the voice of the titular maniac. Cuoco also serves as an executive producer alongside Justin Halpern, Patrick Shumacker, and Dean Lorey. The voice cast also includes Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Ron Funches as King Shark, Alan Tudyk as Clayface and The Joker, Tony Hale as Doctor Psycho, Diedrich Bader as Batman, and Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman.
Recently, the series' showrunners announced that Alfred Molina will be joining the voice cast. Molina is best known for playing Dr. Octopus back in 2004's
Spider-Man 2 and recently featured in
Frozen 2 as King Agnarr —
more on that here. Molina is raring to add another maniacal scientist to his repetoire as he will be playing Dr. Victor Fries A.K.A. Mr. Freeze in the
Harley Quinn animated series.
Reports on this (via
SYFY WIRE) development seem to reiterate that Sanaa Lathan is a part of the voice cast as Catwoman
despite that having been announced back in June 2019 (prior to the animated series' debut). So, make of that what you will. Perhaps reiterating the information is meant as confirmation that Lathan will feature in the second season as Catwoman for sure.
