Season two of Netflix's animated
Castlevania series arrives this week. As anticipation builds, series director Samuel Deats has shared some new poster art for the upcoming season.
As a birthday gift to fans (on his own birthday), Deats shared the following poster which features members of the Belmont clan, including Trevor and Dracula.
Season two of
Castlevania will debut on Netflix on October 26. The series is inspired by the classic video game franchise of the same name, but season two is said to diverge away from the story told in the 1989 Nintendo classic. But fans of the video game franchise can rest assured knowing Konami was incredibly detailed and specific about the script tweaks, so the second season of
Castlevania still remain true to the overall vision and tone of the game.
"Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar."
Season two of
Castlevania will consist of eight episodes, doubling the episode count of the first season.
