The third season of Big Mouth will be making its debut on October 4th. Additionally, it was confirmed back in July that the irreverent animated series will also receive a fourth, fifth, and sixth season on Netflix — find out more on that here.

Less than a month ago, we got our first look at the upcoming third season of Big Mouth with a brand new trailer. Now that Season 3 is but days away, Netflix has decided to wind back the clock and provide a video which recaps the events of the second season.

Big Mouth follows the teenage misadventures of Nick, Andrew, Missy, and a bunch of the other middle schoolers as they learn to cope with puberty — which is literally represented by hormonal monsters that act as imaginary friends. The cast includes Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, and Jordan Peele.

Below you can check out both the official Season 2 recap video as well as the official trailer for Season 3 (via Netflix):

In Season 3, Big Mouth focuses on what’s like to be going through puberty now. The show continues exploring human sexuality and everything around it, tackling issues such as cell phone addiction, female anger, the vast spectrum of sexuality, Adderall abuse, dick pics, toxic masculinity, and of course 'how to have an orgasm.' As the end of seventh grade rapidly approaches, Thandie Newton shakes things up as Missy’s new Hormone Monstress, and Ali Wong joins the cast as a new student who makes everyone at Bridgeton Middle question their sexuality. The season culminates with a superhero showdown that brings long simmering tensions to a head and tests even the strongest friendships.
