SOUL: Disney Pixar's Newest Animated Movie Debuts On Rotten Tomatoes With Perfect 100% Critics Score

Disney Pixar's newest premiered at the BFI London Film Festival just the other day and some critics have released their reviews. Thus far, there isn't a bad apple in the bunch. Find out more...

Soul is the next animated movie from Disney Pixar. Of course, they already released Onward earlier this year and it's now available to stream on Disney+ due to the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on the cinema industry — that simply being that many cinemas have closed their doors temporarily as to not encourage large gatherings of people.

Well, also on account of the pandemic; Soul will no longer be coming to theatres but rather will be heading straight to Disney's streaming service in December, specifically on Christmas Day (December 25th). Recently, Soul premiered at the BFI Londom Film Festival and quite a few critics were privy to the screening. Thus, we're now privy to their impressions.

Soul has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a grand total of twenty reviews from verified critics. The animated movie is immediately off to much acclaim as it has a perfect 100% score on the Tomatometer. That's pretty rare and is to say that there hasn't been a negative review of the movie yet. Here's a link to the Rotten Tomatoes page so you can see for yourself.

Of course, twenty critics isn't a large number or anything so the score is still subject to change once more critics get to see the movie and write up their reviews. For now, though, Soul is boasting an exciting 100% score. Christmas can't come fast enough.

In other Soul news; Disney Pixar debuted the second official trailer for Soul yesterday along with a new poster. You can check out both of those here.

What is it that makes you...YOU? This November, Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new feature film “Soul” introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.

Soul arrives exclusively on Disney+ on December 25th, 2020.
