Disney is adding another original series to its Disney Plus roster with Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life, coming later this month. The series sees the chipmunk odd couple of Chip and Dale as they venture forth and embark on shenanigans of epic proportions.  The trailer gave us a hint at what to expect and frankly this struck a nerve to many people who knew the two from Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers, which holds a vastly different demeaner to it than Park Life.

The two aren't going on adventures alone, just from the trailer,  we can see we'll get to see iconic characters such as Donald Duck, Pluto, and Butch join them in the series. While this brings forth a mixed reaction, fans of Rescue Rangers can at least have some solace as the studio is working on a hybrid CGI and live-action film set to release sometime in spring next year.

Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life is a project spearheaded by The Walt Disney Company France and Xilam Animation. It'll encompass  episodes spanning only about seven minutes, which makes sense considering the non-verbal nature of the two.

Fans of the '80s cartoon were quick to point out the disasterously different feel the series is taking and how they oversimplified the duo. Many also hope, even though it isn't Rescue Rangers, that both Jack and Gadget appear in at least a cameo. Some are even saying they'll give it a shot, but won't expect anything like Rescue Rangers.

"Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life" follows two tiny troublemakers, Chip and Dale, trying to live the good life in a big city park while having giant-sized, sky-high adventures. Nervous worrier Chip and laid-back dreamer Dale make the perfect odd couple: they're best buddies and they drive each other nuts. In their perpetual pursuit of acorns, these ultimate underdogs are joined by Pluto, Butch and other iconic Disney characters as they face down bullies great and small.

You'll be able to watch the series exclusively on Disney Plus on July 28.
