MARVEL RISING: OPERATION SHURI Will Premiere At NYCC 2019 During The Women Of Marvel Panel

Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri, the 22-minute animated special starring the Crown Princess of Wakanda, will premiere at New York Comic-Con ahead of its official Marvel HQ debut on October 11.

Fans who attend the Women of Marvel panel at New York Comic-Con next weekend will be treated to an early look at Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri, the upcoming animated special debuting on Marvel HQ in October.

Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri is the next special in the Marvel Rising animated franchise. It will introduce the fan-favorite character Shuri, voiced by Daisy Lightfoot (Marvel Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest) to the Marvel Rising universe, which centers on a diverse team of teenage superheroes who band together to defend the world from powerful threats.

A poster for Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri was shared alongside a brief synopsis for the 22-minute special.

The lives of the Secret Warriors are turned upside down when faced with their latest mission: hang out with Shuri, the Crown Princess of Wakanda, and show her what it’s like to be an ordinary teenager. But nothing’s ordinary when you’re dealing with one of the smartest and most famous people on the planet.

The Women of Marvel panel is scheduled for Sunday, October 6 at 12:15 p.m. ET in room 1A06. Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri will debut on the Marvel HQ YouTube channel shortly after on Friday, October 11.
