The Hellaverse just got even bigger. During the LVL UP EXPO 2025 event, fans of VivziePop’s popular animated universe received major news: Helluva Boss will soon stream on Prime Video, joining its sister show Hazbin Hotel.

The announcement came through a special video on VivziePop’s YouTube channel, featuring Hazbin Hotel's Charlie Morningstar (voiced by Erika Henningsen) and Helluva Boss' Blitzo (voiced by Brandon Rogers) appearing together on screen for the first time ever, a landmark moment for the shared universe. Check out the full announcement video down below (WARNING: Adult Language and Profanity is used in the video)

According to the announcement, Helluva Boss' partnership with Prime Video and SpindleHorse Animation will allow the series to deliver full-length episodes and entire seasons on a more consistent release schedule. As an indie webseries, Helluva Boss episodes were previously released sporadically. Creator Vivienne Medrano had hinted at longer waits between drops but emphasized that episodes would release closer together once ready. This new deal with Prime Video now guarantees that vision coming to life.

In a move sure to please fans and maintain the show's indie spirit, Medrano and her team will retain full creative rights and control over Helluva Boss, a rare and impressive accomplishment in an industry where larger companies often claim ownership or even delete projects for financial reasons. After each new episode airs exclusively on Prime Video for a month, it will still be available for free later on Medrano’s YouTube channel, preserving the show's grassroots origins.

Perhaps the most thrilling part of the announcement hints at a long-anticipated crossover between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. Past seasons of both shows contained small Easter eggs referencing each other, but direct crossovers were legally impossible due to different production companies: A24 and Bento Box produced Hazbin Hotel, while SpindleHorse handled Helluva Boss. Now, with both projects linked through Prime Video and SpindleHorse, those barriers have fallen.

In the announcement video, Blitzo cheekily tries to reveal the crossover by pulling multiple characters from both series through his portal. Though Charlie quickly tries to stop him to avoid spoilers, the implication is clear a true Hellaverse crossover is on the horizon. Which means that nothing is off the table, anything could happen with a crossover like this.

This expansion further cements the growing success of independent animation. Hazbin Hotel's Prime Video launch and Helluva Boss' cult following have helped inspire a new wave of indie animation success stories, like The Amazing Digital Circus.

Hazbin Hotel is now streaming on Prime Video. Helluva Boss remains available for free on VivziePop’s YouTube channel. Until new episodes premiere with their exciting Prime Video partnership, then they will be relasing one month later for free. So if you want to watch Helluva Boss right away, you gotta get in on Prime Video.
