Artificial: Factions is the fourth season of Twitch's Emmy Award-winning live interactive sci-fi series Artificial. Ramping up the ground-breaking aspects of the show each season, series creator and showrunner Bernie Su (Emma Approved) continues that trend for Season 4.
While the innovative production already features an interactive story driven by the fans and music by LifeScore that adapts to the audience's tone in the chat live in real-time, Artificial: Factions goes even further. This season uses ground-breaking motion capture technology to see not one but two A.I.s, and they are both animated with voice and mo-cap actors.
Named Ember and Kai, the two Artificial Intelligence creations belong to Sebastian (Stephen Chang - Captain Marvel, The Last of Us II) and Zander (Dante Basco - Hook, Avatar: The Last Airbender). With Ember representing Team Nova and Kai representing Team Ouroboros, the audience is divided this season.
We had the amazing opportunity to speak with Jae Kim, who voices and does the motion capture for the A.I. Kai on Team Ouroboros. He spoke a lot about joining Artificial: Faction with an experienced cast and the live motion capture process.
Check out the trailer for Artificial: Factions below. We've also included our audio chat and our full video interview with Kai actor Jae Kim, so tune in and be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!
In support of Season 4 of Twitch's interactive sci-fi series Artificial, appropriately titled Artificial: Factions, I got the awesome chance to chat with Jae Kim, the motion capture and voice actor that brings Kai, the A.I., to life in the show. Check out what Kim has to say about the process of performing motion capture in a live and interactive setting!
