Kingdom Hearts 3 is shaping up to be the biggest game in the franchise, packed with new worlds and characters based on Disney's beloved franchises. Of course, familiar characters will also be returning; this includes
Winnie the Pooh and the rest of Christopher Robin's pals.
A new trailer for
Kingdom Hearts 3 was released at Microsoft's X018 event, confirming that players will once again be able to visit the 100 Acre Wood. Similar to its appearance in previous games in the franchise, the 100 Acre Wood will contain various puzzle-based mini-games. Like other worlds in the game, it seems
Winnie the Pooh will also have its own unique hand-drawn style while you're visiting - as if you were experiencing it as a book.
In addition to teasing the new
Winnie the Pooh location, the trailer offers us more hints regarding Master Xehanort and Organization XIII's nefarious activities. To save the light from the impending darkness, players will travel all across various Disney worlds and team up with fan-favorite Disney and Pixar heroes.
Sora returns to 100 Acre Wood with KINGDOM HEARTS III! Check out additional gameplay revealing Sora’s team-up attacks with Rapunzel and Captain Jack Sparrow. Watch the forces of light and darkness gather as the battle for KINGDOM HEARTS approaches!
Apparently, puzzles in
Kingdom Hearts 3 won't only be confined to the 100 Acre Wood. Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto appeared on stage during the event and revealed that there will be a cooking-based puzzle game inspired by Pixar's 2007 animated film
Ratatouille.
Other
Kingdom Hearts 3 worlds not seen in this particular trailer, but confirmed and shown off previously include
Frozen, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., and
Hercules.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will release on January 29, 2019, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
