Yesterday, Disney-Pixar released an exciting trailer for their next animated movie.
Onward stars both Chris Pratt (
Avengers: Endgame) and Tom Holland (
Spider-Man: Far From Home) as a pair of elvish brothers who go on an adventure to resurrect their father for a short while. The film is directed by Dan Scanlon who previously worked with Pixar on
Monsters University.
As well as Pratt and Holland,
Onward also features the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus (
Seinfeld), Octavia Spencer (
The Help), and John Ratzenberger — the latter of those has featured in every single one of Pixar's animated films.
Following the release of the new trailer, which you can check out below, Pixar shared a fun video which sees both of the film's main stars react to it for the first time. Both Holland and Pratt seem to have not seen a whole lot of footage prior to this video. So, their reactions mostly pertain to them pointing out how good the animation looks.
Check out the video below (via
Pixar):
Set in a suburban fantasy world, two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, go on a journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.
Onward will arrive in theaters on March 6th, 2020.
