According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, another movie inspired by the iconic children's book, The Wizard of Oz, is being developed by Warner Brothers.

However, it will differ greatly from most of these films, as it won't be following the young farm girl Dorothy. Instead, the planned animated flick will retell the world famous story from the perspective of Dorothy's dog, Toto.

This is because the Warner Bros. flick won't be adapting the novel by author L. Frank Baum. Instead, it will be drawing inspiration from Michael Morpugo's Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of the Wizard of Oz, which was published in 2017.

The studio hasn't set a release date for the animated picture, but it will be written by Mark Burton, whose credits include Madagascar.
