Back in April, Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for their live-action
Sonic the Hedgehog movie — which stars Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, and Jim Carrey. The trailer wasn't well-receieved as it featured a character design that would likely feature in your nightmares.
Thankfully, the director took the criticism on-board and delayed the movie so that they could redo the design. One week ago, Paramount Pictures debuted a new trailer for Sonic the Hegehog and revealed the titular speedster's new look for the first time. Fans were infinitely more pleased this time around.
A couple of well-known visual-effects artists, known as the
Corridor Crew, recently shared their thoughts on the redesign in a YouTube video. They point out what's better about the new version of the character, the CGI in general, as well as why the previous version was just so off.
