A movie adaptation of the popular plushie brand UglyDolls has been in-development, on and off, since 2011 - at one point being attached to Despicable Me and The Grinch's Illumination Entertainment and at another point having Sin City and Machete's Robert Rodriguez in the director's chair.

After those seven years the film settled with STX Entertainment and will be the studio's first family and animation project when it releases in May of next year. We're now, finally, getting to see promotion for the film. We recently got the very first poster for UglyDolls as well as a couple more posters which focused on each individual character - most of which are voiced by well-known singer/rappers.

Ahead of the trailer debut on Thursday, as well as the posters, we've gotten a couple of stills from the film - which you can check out below:

What do you think of the stills? Are you looking forward to the trailer debut on Thursday or the film itself?

UglyDolls is set to arrive in theatres on May 10th, 2019.
