We're only a few weeks out from the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem on August 04, however, with the SAG-AFTRA strike reportedly set to last quite a while, it will be interesting to see what marketing tactics Paramount and Nickelodeon will come up with.
Due to the strike, the cast and writers for Mutant Mayhem will not be allowed to market the film, which means no interviews, red carpet, SDCC panel, etc.
In turn, fans should expect an explosion of clips, trailers, and posters- and case in point, you can check out two new posters below.
In addition, Paramount has also released a pre-recorded featurette for the film which sees film producer and Bebop voice actor Seth Rogen (The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Mufasa: The Lion King) discussing the film, with director Jeff Rowe (The Mitchells vs. the Machines) discussing the film.
"What we wanted to create, was an incredibly fun and engaging version of the Ninja Turtles," said Rogen. He added, "The bigger swings- visually, that these animated movies are taking, the more excited people seem to be by them."
The film stars Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo), Sharon Brown Jr. (Mikey), Micah Abbey (Donnie), Brady Noon (Raph), Jackie Chan (Splinter), Ayo Edebiri (April), Ice Cube (Superfly), Seth Rogen (Bebop), John Cena (Rocksteady), Paul Rudd (Mondo Gecko), Rose Byrne (Leatherhead), Post Malone (Ray Fillet), Hannibal Buress (Genghis Frog), Natasia Demetriou (Wing Nut), Maya Rudolph (Cynthia Utrom), and Giancarlo Esposito (Baxter Stockman)!
After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
