Sequel to 2016's Trolls; Trolls World Tour sees Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake reprise the roles of Poppy and Branch respectively.
The voice cast also includes Rachel Bloom, James Corden, Caroline Hielt, Aino Iawo, Ron Funches, Kunal Nayyar, Mary J. Blige, J Balvin, George Clinton, Kelly Clarkson, Kenan Thompson, Jamie Dornan, Gustavo Dudamel, Sam Rockwell, Ozzy Osbourne, and somehow even more.
Unlike many other films, Trolls World Tour hasn't been delayed on account of the Coronavirus pandemic that's currently enrapturing most of the world. Rather Universal has opted to release Trolls World Tour online as well as in theatres. Those that are in regions unaffected by the disease may still go out to see it.
However, those that are currently in the midst of quarantine don't have to miss out on the fun. Trolls World Tour is now available to rent from Amazon Prime Video, iTunes/Apple TV, Sky Store, and Google Play. Over on Amazon, renting a HD copy will cost you £15.99.
Universal boss Jeff Shell provided a statement regarding the unique situation:
Universal Pictures has a broad and diverse range of movies with 2020 being no exception.
Rather than delaying these films or releasing them into a challenged distribution landscape, we wanted to provide an option for people to view these titles in the home that is both accessible and affordable.
We hope and believe that people will still go to the movies in theatres where available, but we understand that for people in different areas of the world that is increasingly becoming less possible.
