This Professional Artwork Realistically Redesigns SONIC THE HEDGEHOG & POKEMON's Mewtwo
Art Director for Santa Monica Studio, Raf Grassetti, has unveiled some artwork which gives us an idea of what Sonic The Hedgehog might look like in his upcoming movie...
Last week, Raf Grassetti, Santa Monica Studio's Art Director - who served as Principal Character Artist for God of War - unveiled his realistic redesigns of some playable characters from Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game.
Now Grassetti (@rafagrassetti) is back with even more. While the last batch featured Link and Samus, this new lot includes Fox, Bowser, Sonic, and Mewtwo. The Mewtwo and Sonic designs are particularly interesting given that the latter has his very own live-action movie coming out this November and the former could show up in the Detective Pikachu movie.

Sonic will have a more "realistic" look within the upcoming film and, though it hasn't been officially unveiled just yet, a piece of internal artwork did leak a couple of weeks back which showed of how the speedster will probably look - and it isn't dissimilar from what Grassetti has designed here.
On the Mewtwo side of things; there has been speculation that the fan-favourite Pokemon would appear in the upcoming Ryan Reynolds-starrer however it's just that: speculation. But if he were to appear, like Sonic, he'd no doubt look identical to Grassetti's amazing artwork.
What do you think of the redesigns? Is this how you'd like Sonic and/or Mewtwo to look in the upcoming movies?
