The Grinch is set to arrive in theatres on November 9th, in promotion of this Illumination Entertainment just dropped the third and final trailer for the upcoming animated movie - which stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange, Avengers: Infinity War, Sherlock) in the titular role.
The trailer shows off more of the green scrooge's anti-Christmas spirit as he lays waste to Whoville and its jolly inhabitants. On top of Max the dog, we're introduced to yet another of The Grinch's pets: an amusingly clumsy moose. We get our first look at The Grinch's endeavour to "steal Christmas," as he stilts from roof-to-roof hoovering up the Whos' gifts. This all occurs to the fantastic tune of a new song from Tyler, The Creator.

Illumination's upcoming animated movie is based on the 1957 Dr. Seuss story How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Set to release on November 9th, it will be the third screen-adaptation of the iconic story - following the 1966 TV special of the same name and the 2000 live-action feature-length version which starred Jim Carrey as the titular grump.
This time around the Grinch will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch and directed by Yarrow Cheney as well as Scott Mosier. It's written by Michael LeSieur and Tommy Swerdlow.

For their eighth fully animated feature, Illumination and Universal Pictures present The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss’ beloved holiday classic. The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit. Funny, heartwarming and visually stunning, it’s a universal story about the spirit of Christmas and the indomitable power of optimism.
