We've finally been provided with our first look at director Jon Favreau's highly-anticipated remake of, 1994 animated classic, The Lion King.

The film, which is set to release in July of next year, will be a pseudo-live-action remake - "pseudo" as all of the characters/animals are computer-generated - with a new, all-star cast.

Donald Glover (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Spider-Man: Homecoming) will play the lead of Simba, Beyonce Knowles (singer-songwriter) will voice Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange, 12 Years A Slave) will voice Scar, Seth Rogen (Superbad, Neighbors) will voice Pumbaa, Billy Eichner will voice Timon, John Oliver will voice Zazu, the likes of Keegan-Michael Key, Eric Andre, and more will feature, as well as James Earl Jones who will be reprising the role of Mufasa.

The new trailer perfectly recreates arguably the most iconic scene from the original animated film. If you weren't already on-board with the idea of the remake, the teaser will surely quell your concerns and assure you that the beloved tale is in safe hands with director Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book, Iron Man).
