THE LITTLE MERMAID: Jonah Hauer-King And KRYPTON Star Cameron Cuffe Have Tested For The Role Of Prince Eric
With Harry Styles no longer in the running, a new report has revealed two other actors who have tested for the role of Prince Eric in Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid film. Hit the jump for more info.
Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid remake has already tapped Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy to portray Ariel and Ursula respectively, but the search is still very much on for Ariel's love interest, Prince Eric.
According to previous reports, Harry Styles was in talks to tackle the role, but the singer and actor has since turned down the role. Now, however, Deadline has learned of two other names circling the role.
Per the site, Cameron Cuffe (Krypton) and Jonah Hauer-King (Little Women) made a visit to Pinewood Studios where they tested to play Eric in the Disney remake. There is currently no word on the response to these tests, but we'll be sure to keep you apprised of any developments.
No release date for The Little Mermaid has been set, but production is expected to begin April 2020.
