The Little Mermaid's cast is quickly filling up. Halle Bailey will be playing Ariel, Jacob Tremblay will be playing Flounder, and Awkwafina will be playing Scuttle. Harry Styles, Melissa McCarthy, and Javier Bardem are reportedly up for the roles of Prince Eric, Ursula, and King Triton respetively. That's basically every major character, except for Sebastian, covered.

However, there is a minor character by the name of Chef Louis. He briefly features in the original film as an antagonist who wants to cook the afformentioned crab. Given his aggression in the kitchen, fans have decided the perfect person to play the role.

Gordon Ramsay is a well-known chef who hosts a variety of cooking shows. Most of those shows include him being positively frustrated by the staff of which ever resteraunt he's tutoring, berating them with a cosmic amount of expletives. As the fictional and real chef can both be summed up with the title "Angry Chef," Ramsay would be a perfect choice for the role. Though, he doesn't have any prior acting credits.

This movement began with a post from a Twitter user (@gothjackieburk) which received over 200,000 likes. You can check out that tweet below:
