With Disney's remake of
The Lion King having officially premiered and theatrically releasing on the 19th of July, clips from the upcoming film have begun to surface online (via
ComicBookMovie.com).
Already,
one has been released which allows us an extensive look at the iconic
"Circle of Life" scene - which features Rafiki holding Simba aloft from Pride Rock over the rest of the animal kingdom. Another was recently released which sees Chiwetel Ejiofor's Scar teach JD McCrary's Simba a lesson in roaring.
The most recent clip to have been released features the introduction of Pumbaa and Timon. This gleeful duo are attempting to tackle a gang of vultures when they come across a wounded and unconscious Simba. They quickly decide to adopt him and name him: Fred. In the remake, Pumbaa is voiced by Seth Rogen and Timon is voiced by Billy Eichner.
