The Lion King hits theaters, Disney has released the first full-length trailer for Jon Favreau's "live-action" (CGI) remake of the beloved animated classic.
The trailer gives us our best look yet at the highly anticipated film, basically confirming it'll pretty much be a shot-for-shot remake of the original. That's not a bad thing, though, especially for fans of the animated movie who aren't fully on board with Disney's desire to remake all of the classics in live-action.
In any case, the trailer welcomes us to the Pride Lands, which has been brought to life with stunning CGI and hyper-realistic visuals. The environment and the animals that inhabit it are almost lifelike and look like something you'd see out of a nature documentary.
Check out the trailer below and be sure to watch until the very end - after the cast credits - as you'll be treated to a snippet of Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) singing
"The Lion Sleeps Tonight."
