With just 100 days before The Lion King hits theaters, Disney has released the first full-length trailer for Jon Favreau's "live-action" (CGI) remake of the beloved animated classic.

The trailer gives us our best look yet at the highly anticipated film, basically confirming it'll pretty much be a shot-for-shot remake of the original. That's not a bad thing, though, especially for fans of the animated movie who aren't fully on board with Disney's desire to remake all of the classics in live-action.

In any case, the trailer welcomes us to the Pride Lands, which has been brought to life with stunning CGI and hyper-realistic visuals. The environment and the animals that inhabit it are almost lifelike and look like something you'd see out of a nature documentary.

Check out the trailer below and be sure to watch until the very end - after the cast credits - as you'll be treated to a snippet of Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) singing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight."

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.

The Lion King hits theaters on July 19, 2019.
