Disney's upcoming, live-action remake of
The Lion King will be releasing in theatres on July 19th. The film will retell the iconic tale of the 1994 animated film, only this time with the use of stunning, photo-realistic CGI.
While James Earl Jones will be reprising the role of Mufasa in the upcoming remake, for the most part, it will feature an all-new cast of voice actors. Donald Glover and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will star as Simba and Nala respectively. JD McCrary and Shahadi Wright Joseph will play the cub versions of the two roles.
The cast will also include John Oliver, Seth Rogen, and Billy Eichner as Zazu, Pumba, and Timon. Chiwetel Ejiofor will voice the ominous role of Scar, while Alfre Woodard will do so for the role of Sarabi. Eric André, Florence Kasumba, and Keegan-Michael Key play the traumatising hyena trio of Azizi, Shenzi, and Kamari.
